Heritage Health Solutions Recognized as Top Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business

FLOWER MOUND, TX – Heritage Health Solutions, Inc. (Heritage) announced today that it has been named as one of the “Best of the Best” Top SDVBOs for a second year in a row by U.S. Veterans Magazine. The publication recognizes diverse companies that provide outstanding outreach and accessibility to veteran populations.

The annual review is an evaluation of the nation’s employers, initiatives, government agencies, and educational institutions with the goal of opening up employment, business and supplier opportunities within the federal government and corporate America for veterans, transitioning service members, disabled veterans, spouses, and veteran business owners.

“We are very proud to be recognized as one of the leading Service-Disabeld Veteran-Owned Businesses,” says James L. Rosengren, MHA, FACHE, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Heritage is successful because of the hard work and dedication our employees provide every day. We are committed to providing superior patient care and leading edge health care administrative services.

Founded in 2005, Heritage is in its tenth year of providing pharmacy first fill and emergent prescription medications to well in excess of one million military veterans at over 700 VA medical clinic locations across the country. The Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business also supports the U.S. Marshals Service National Managed Care Contract by providing health care services to 60,000 plus prisoners in the U.S. Marshals custody.

Beyond that, Heritage also offers many outreach programs to help improve the lives of veterans and their families through its Help a Hero program, which launched in 2012. Through this program, Heritage partners with many local charities and veteran organizations to identify and assist veterans in special times of need. Last year, Heritage’s Help a Hero initiative provided material to repair a disabled veteran’s home, supplied pontoon boats for a weekend fishing excursion for veterans and their families, and hosted wounded warriors at Texas Rangers baseball games. The company also donated $25,000 to Texas Woman’s University in support of its Project INVEST program, which advocates a healthy and enjoyable life through adaptive sports for injured veterans, service members, and their families. These sports include a variety of wheelchair sports, such as basketball, indoor soccer, and tennis, as well as other adaptive activities like sit volleyball, rock climbing, water volleyball, goal ball, and kayak soccer.
