Our team collectively possesses over 100 years of executive management and operational expertise in health care administration, managed care, pharmacy benefit management, and compliance.
James (Jim) L. Rosengren, MHA, FACHE
Chief Executive Officer
As Heritage Health Solutions' Chief Executive Officer Jim is responsible for leading the company's business and strategic initiatives. He co-founded Heritage with his wife Lisa in 2005 and under his leadership, Heritage has secured a myriad of pharmacy and health care services contracts with the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Justice, respectively. Prior to starting Heritage, Jim was Vice President of Political and Government Relations for HealthNet®. A Service-ÂConnected Disabled Veteran with more than 21 years in the United States Army Medical Service Corps, Jim served in both clinical and administrative environments including outpatient clinics, community hospitals, and tertiary care teaching facilities. He is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE) and recipient of the 2012 ACHE Top Leader-to-Leader Program Award in the Hospitals, Health Systems and other Healthcare-related categories. Jim received his Master's in Health Care Administration from Baylor University in addition to being selected as an adjunct professor at Trinity University concurrent with responsibilities as a graduate school candidate preceptor.

Lisa Rosengren
Co-Founder and Senior Advisor
Lisa Rosengren co-founded Heritage Health Solutions in 2005. She is the senior advisor to the CEO and Executive Committee. With over 30 years of experience in finance and human resources, Lisa has held management positions in both profit and non-profit organizations. Lisa's mantra, "To be active in the communities we live, work and serve," evolved in 2009 when she founded Heritage Health Solutions Academic Excellence Foundation, a 501(c) (3), non-Âprofit scholarship program that is financed through individual and corporate donations.

Allen Walker, JD
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Allen Walker has practiced law as in-house counsel for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Heritage, she served in senior level positions with corporate legal departments at Concentra, Inc. and Viant, Inc. Prior to that, she held senior legal counsel positions in telecommunications and retail corporations. A graduate of Texas Christian University and Southern Methodist University Law School, she is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American College of Health Care Executives.

Tonya Clark, MPA, CPA
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Tonya Clark is Heritage Health Solutions' Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She managed the company's financials as a Certified Public Accountant at her accounting firm prior to joining Heritage. Tonya has 15 years of financial operations, tax and management experience in a variety of sectors. Tonya began her accounting career with PwC, LLP where she focused on state and local tax. During her time at PwC, Tonya served as project manager for Vertex and Taxware implementations at Fortune 500 companies and mid-cap companies in a variety of industries including oil and gas, manufacturing, distributing, and high-Âtech. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Public Accountancy in Tax from the University of Texas at Austin.

Rick Carey, MA
Executive Vice President, Operations
As Executive Vice President of Operations, Rick Carey leads client operations and is responsible for building partnerships and operational compliance for customers. Rick has 25 years as an executive in several industries including information technology, high-Âtech manufacturing, radiopharmaceuticals, and health care administration. Additionally, he has served as an executive for Concentra, an occupational medicine company, where he led their public sector division providing health care services to a number of government agencies including the United States Department of Agriculture and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He was also involved with TRICARE® as the primary interface with Humana Military Services. A retired officer from the United States Army Reserve and National Guard, Rick's extensive background includes human resources, operations, hospital administration, sales, business development, quality assurance and training. He is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives and possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from The Citadel, a Master's in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College.

Brenda K. Bassett, RPh
Vice President, Pharmacy Operations
Brenda is responsible for pharmacy operations. With over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, she has served as Director of Pharmacy in retail, hospital and mail service pharmacies. She has 20 years of experience in the Pharmacy Benefit Management industry with Medco Health Solutions. A graduate of the University of Missouri Kansas City-College of Pharmacy, Brenda has served on advisory boards for the American Pharmacists Association and the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Marty Upton, BA
Vice President of Information Technology
Marty Upton serves as the Vice President of Information Technology. Marty's primary role is to provide the strategic vision for IT that encompasses the needs of the organization while maintaining information security. He has a wide range of technical and managerial experience through his 14 years of IT experience. Marty has experience in multiple residential and small to medium size business platforms where he has designed and implemented information systems, performed routine maintenance, and repairs. Marty graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Cassondra Halpin, JD, SPHR
Director, Human Resources
Cassondra Halpin, JD, SPHR Director of Human Resources has been a human resource professional for over ten years. Ms. Halpin has full responsibility for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the Human Resources department. Prior to joining Heritage, she worked in human resources in the telecommunications, IT, software and engineering industries. Before entering the human resources profession, Ms. Halpin served as an employment law attorney. A graduate of Marquette University, University of San Diego School of Law, and Keller Graduate School of Management, Ms. Halpin is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), American Bar Association, Society for Human Resource Management and Dallas HR.
